The new live-action series based on Tohru Fujisawa's GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka manga has unveiled a 90-second trailer and a new visual. Takashi Sorimachi reprises the role of Onizuka, with Satoru Nakajima and Kazuhiko Yukawa returning as director and scriptwriter. Meru Nukumi plays Mio Kashiwabara, the assistant homeroom teacher. The series will premiere on Kansai TV, Fuji TV, and affiliated channels on July 20 at 10:00 p.m. (9:00 a.m. EDT). The manga inspired earlier live-action adaptations, a television anime, and various spinoffs.
